Chennai to Bangalore

My little Chennai leg had come to an end and it was time to catch a morning flight to Bangalore. I was catching the first flight of the day at 6am, which meant I had to leave the hotel at 3 to ensure I got there in time. The roads at that time are quieter but still prone to delays.

I was dropped off at the domestic terminal and met by a smartly dressed man who somehow knew I was on the 6am flight to Bangalore and advised me I needed to head over to the International terminal as the flight actually departed from there. How he knew my flat I still can't figure out - perhaps it's a common mistake. Fortunately the other terminal was a short walk away and I later found out my flight was going to stop at Bangalore before continuing to the Middle East somewhere. That'd explain why it was leaving from this terminal.

I tried to use the online check-in and was left waiting for half an hour on this screen. In the meantime the check in desk had opened so I went old school and did it that way. A reminder that to enter the airport you have to have your ticket and passport to get in, so make sure you've printed your ticket details out.

The airport was empty and with a poor selection of shops inside (I couldn't even buy a Chennai magnet) I had no choice but to just sit and wait for the flight to depart. Nothing exciting happened.

The flight to Bangalore was fine and I arrived at 7am ready to be met by some work colleagues. Interesting observation - the Subway has different counters depending on whether you're vegetarian or not.
My company works with TCS and we have a small offshore team here. I promised them that if I ever came to India I'd pop by and say "hi". Not much to detail on this report only that they gave me a great welcome and were perfect hosts.

After a really nice lunch with the team I checked into my hotel. The Crowne Plaza in the Electronic Town in Bangalore. This would be my base for this leg of the trip. It's a great hotel but their need to be reviewed for everything they do was a bit too much.

"Mr Marr, we can see you're using the hotel wifi, on a scale of 1-10 how would you rate it?" Please...
